Inspired by Serbian and Slavic culture, twenty-one collages blend family archival photographs with traditional textiles and bold contemporary colours. Each piece creates a unique visual identity, merging personal and public narratives through metaphors and imagery that relate to individual family stories.
As the Major Arcana, they represent the biggest influences in my life: my culture, heritage and family. Each card constitutes of a collage on the front, and the corresponding story on the back. My aim has been to foster understanding and appreciation for the diverse experiences that shaped my family, close friends and the Balkan region.
