Packaging Proposal
”1972” is an upcoming skateboarding brand based in Athens, Greece.
Even though skateboarding dates back to the 1940s-50s, it wasn’t until 1972 with the immense improvement in performance that the popularity of skateboarding rapidly rose and became the sport we know today. Thus this year was chosen as the brand’s name as a way to pay homage to the sport’s history.
The design is inspired by bold colours seen in graffiti and street art as well as orange hues associated with the 70's.
